Hey,
I'm Matthew.
I was born in Mississauga, Ontario, and raised in an adventurous, creatively driven household that shaped how I see the world. Having a camera early on taught me how fleeting and meaningful moments can be, fuelling a lasting desire to capture what feels honest, lived-in, and real. Through my work as a commercial and editorial photographer, I aim to create imagery rooted in authenticity and intention, preserving people, places, and experiences without excess or pretense. Beyond my own work behind the camera, I also teach photography through in-person organizations and online classes across Canada, sharing what I've learned while continuing to discover new perspectives through others.
A life in different mediums.
Another part of my creative life lies in music, where I work as a score writer and film composer for films, animated productions, and independent projects. While photography and music may seem worlds apart, I've always felt they share a common purpose: to tell stories, evoke feeling, and give meaning to moments. Above all, I'm grateful to work in fields that allow me to meet people, explore new places, and remain curious. Whether behind a camera, in-studio with a team, teaching a class, or composing music, I approach each opportunity with patience, care, and a genuine interest in the people and stories that make it worthwhile.
